I'm looking forward to another MGG creation. :)

Fun Fact: as a young child, Candice Bergen originally assumed that her father's dummy Charlie McCarthy was her brother; one day, she happened upon three models of Charlie crumpled up in the closet and was devastated.

That would be enough to mentally screw me up for the rest of my life.

6th-Dec-2012 08:03 am (UTC)
Didn't Candice also say somewhere that Charlie McCarthy had his own bedroom (and bed) in the Bergen house?
6th-Dec-2012 02:35 am (UTC)
This one is really disturbing.
6th-Dec-2012 02:41 am (UTC)
Unsurprising, given MGG's established penchant for gothic horror.
6th-Dec-2012 02:50 am (UTC)
He's surpassed all his prior efforts this time.

The initial crucifixion theory was a plausible and deftly-played fakeout--although slightly spoiled if you'd caught the trailer.

So is the creepy little dominant UNSUB an imaginary friend?
6th-Dec-2012 02:39 am (UTC)
Wow that kid is going to need to see a shrink after this....
6th-Dec-2012 02:41 am (UTC)
Wow dude... Issues. You have them.
6th-Dec-2012 02:44 am (UTC)
Yeah... I think I'd want my money back.....
6th-Dec-2012 11:55 pm (UTC)
Assuming, of course, that you existed in the first place. (On the other hand, you know you've crossed the line when your hallucinatory audience members want their money back.)
6th-Dec-2012 02:54 am (UTC)
I think I need to watch something with fluffy bunnies and puppies.

AHMAHGAH Reid is just too fricken cute!
6th-Dec-2012 04:48 am (UTC)
I would be excited for

Did they ever explain who the little person was, or did Adam do it all himself and the little man didn't exist, like the audience in the theatre didn't exist?
6th-Dec-2012 10:46 am (UTC)
The strong impression I got was that the little person was a ventriloquist dummy used by the UNSUB's father (an important clue is that the actor appears too young to have been a flesh-and-blood cast member on a 1950's TV show.) Hence my comments regarding Candice Bergen and Scarface (the character from Batman: the Animated Series.)

I liked this episode - after just abour five episodes of pointlessness. They should always let MGG direct, he has the best freaking episodes and SUCH a good hand with horror stories, the episodes he directs usually turn out to be my favorites before I even know he was behind the camera (like this one).

And the unsub was such a child I felt sorry for him.

He recalls the Doll Collector--except that Reid was able to bring her closure (and reassurance to her victims) by restoring the thing she really wanted all along; this guy will have no such resolution.
6th-Dec-2012 11:27 pm (UTC)
They usually go easy on female unsubs, IMHO.

I must say that for the first time they made me nauseous. Like for real. First during the girl's dislocating shoulders scene (gosh it was awful I still shudder just thinking about it.) Then when I thought the audience was real. The delusion was so unclear to the viewer I felt really sick. And they really creeped me out during the dancing scene. Every time i think what that girl went through I feel sick. This was one of the most creepiest episodes for me. Never thought they had still in them to do so. Kudos.

It occurs to me that "Gekka No Yasukyoku" (roughly, "Moonlight Melody") by the J-Pop band Malice Mizer would be apropos music for the climactic scene.

Ok, this has to be the most disturbing CM episode I've ever seen. I don't even wanna begin imaging what that poor woman went through *shudder*

Blake and Reid are adorable. I love their scenes together. Too bad, the date between Reid and his girlfriend couldn't go through :(
